Alfa Romeo's GTA took the Giulia Sprint GT coupe and lightened it with aluminum body panels—the name stands for Gran Turismo Alleggerita—and the smaller 1300 Junior version was built to dominate the lower-displacement touring car classes in European racing, including endurance events like the 24 Hours of Spa.
