Production of the original Land Rover Defender ended in early 2016 after nearly seven decades of building the utilitarian 4x4 at Solihull, and the long-wheelbase Station Wagon was among the last body styles off the line, still recognizably shaped by the aluminum-bodied Series models of the late 1940s.
