Lexus spent nearly a decade developing the LFA, ultimately switching to a carbon fiber body and a Yamaha-tuned 4.8-liter V10 that revs so quickly a conventional analog tachometer couldn't keep up. Only 500 were built, and its exhaust note remains one of the most celebrated of any road car.
