Nissan launched the S15 Silvia in 1999 as the last of the line, with the Spec-R pairing the turbocharged SR20DET to a six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive. Sold only in right-hand-drive markets, the Aero version added a deeper front lip and tall rear wing, and the car became a drifting favorite.
